- This privacy policy (“Policy”) explains how Muraimai handles your information when you use our services.
- By using our Services, you acknowledge and agree that we process your information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Services.
Information We Collect
- Local Storage & Google Drive & iCloud: Muraimai stores your notes and to-dos locally on your device. When you choose to back up your data to Google Drive or iCloud, you will sign in with your Google or Apple account.We do not collect or store any personal information on our servers. We receive your name and email address during sign-in, but this information is only stored locally on your device and is never transmitted or shared.
- Support Inquiries: If you contact support, we may receive the information you voluntarily provide (e.g., email address, screenshots) to help troubleshoot your issue.
Use of Google Drive & iCloud
We use Google Drive and iCloud backups to enable secure storage of your content:
- Sign-in is handled securely by Google or Apple APIs. We do not see or store your passwords or authentication tokens.
- Your data is stored in your personal cloud account and remains private to you.
- However, your use of Google Drive is also subject to Google’s Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy. Your use of iCloud is also subject to Apple’s Terms of Service and Apple’s Privacy Policy We encourage you to review these documents.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
- Muraimai does not use cookies, trackers, or third-party advertising technologies. We do use Firebase Analytics without advertising IDs to collect anonymous app usage data for performance monitoring. This data is not linked to user identity and is not used for tracking
Data Sharing
- We do not share, sell, or otherwise distribute your personal data.Your notes and to-dos remain on your device or in your personal cloud account (Google Drive or iCloud), fully under your control.
Data Storage & Retention
- Your backups in Google Drive or iCloud stay there until you choose to delete them manually, or until the app’s automated process removes them after 30 days.We do not retain any backup copies.
- If you send us support information, we retain it only as long as needed to help you.
Delete Account
- If you use the app’s “Delete Account” feature, all app data on your device is permanently deleted. This does not delete backups stored in Google Drive or iCloud — you must remove them manually
Security Measures & Disclaimer
- While we do not host your data ourselves, we recommend using strong Google/Apple account security (like 2FA) to protect your cloud backups.
- We cannot guarantee the security of third-party services (Google, Apple) that store your data.
Children’s Privacy
- Muraimai is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal info, please contact us to have it removed.
Your Rights
- You can delete your notes from your device or your backups from Google Drive/iCloud at any time.
- You may also revoke Muraimai’s access from your Google or Apple account settings.
Changes to This Policy
- We may update this Policy from time to time. If significant changes occur, we will notify you through the Services or other means, and update the “Last Updated” date above.
